How it works

From registration to a paid milestone, in clear steps

Learn how the OgunDPI Contractors platform works. If anything here is unclear, write to contact@ogundpi.com.

  1. 01

    Register your company on OgunDPI

You'll bring three things: your CAC certificate (RC or BN number), your TIN from FIRS, and the bank account where the company wants payments to land. We check the CAC and the bank account live, so you'll know within minutes whether everything matches.

Note: There is no fee to register. The company name on your CAC must be the same as the bank account name.

  2. 02

    Get approved by the ministry

Each ministry will ask you for a small number of extra documents the first time you apply, for example proof of past work or a tax clearance certificate. Once you upload those, the same set is reused for every future contract from that ministry. You don't have to start over each time.

Note: Approval from one ministry doesn't carry over to another; each ministry sets its own rules.

  3. 03

    Apply for an open contract

When a contract is open, you'll see it in the Open contracts list. Read the brief, prepare your application, and submit it before the closing date. Officers from the issuing ministry score every application against the same set of rules.

Note: You can save a draft and come back to finish it later. Nothing is lost.

  4. 04

    Deliver the work

If your company is awarded the contract, you'll see milestones to deliver, for example capturing data in a set of schools by a date. Use the workspace to mark milestones complete and upload any field reports the ministry asks for.

Note: If you need help on the ground, you can also raise a question through the workspace.

  5. 05

    Get paid through OgunPay

Each milestone has a payment attached to it. Once the ministry confirms the milestone, OgunPay sends the money to your verified bank account, usually on the same working day, with the receipt attached.

Note: You will see every payment and every receipt inside your workspace.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions you might have

  • Do I need to pay anything to use OgunDPI?

No. Registering and applying for contracts is free. Only the actual cost of the work itself is part of the contract.

  • I never set a password. How do I sign in?

OgunDPI does not use passwords. Each time you sign in, we email a 6-digit code to the email you registered with. Type the code on the sign-in page and you're in. Codes expire after 10 minutes.

  • What is a CAC certificate? What is a TIN?

Your CAC certificate is the registration document the Corporate Affairs Commission gives every Nigerian company. The number on it starts with RC or BN. Your TIN (Tax Identification Number) is from FIRS and is 8–12 digits long. Both are required by law to do contract work for the government.

  • What happens if my company name and bank account name are different?

The bank account on file must be in the company's legal name. This protects everyone from fraud. Open a corporate account with the same name as on the CAC certificate, then return to register.

  • Can my staff also sign in to the workspace?

Today only the registered company owner signs in. We're building team and role accounts, so soon you'll be able to invite your project manager or field officers and give them only the access they need.

  • What does “approved” mean? Is that the same as winning a contract?

No. Approval (sometimes called pre-approval or prequalification) means a ministry has confirmed that your company is eligible to apply for their contracts. Winning a contract is a separate step; you still have to submit a strong application for that specific contract.
